My name is Jason Yopp, and I currently live in Midland, MI. As someone who has been active most of my life, I pretty much had the freedom to eat however and whenever I wanted.  As cliché as it sounds, when I got my desk job, my bad habits caught up with me, and I was headed down a dangerous road of high blood pressure, rapid weight gain, and depression. About three years ago, when I was close to my heaviest, I started attending classes at Seung Ni and eventually dropped some weight; however, I realized that in order to make my commitment to fitness and a new lifestyle sustainable, I’d need to learn more about proper nutrition first. It was in mid 2014 that I learned about Kristin Berard and ABBRx.  I came to Kristin eating around 1500 calories per day and not understanding why I wasn’t transforming.  It was a simple question from her that made me immediately realize I was in the right spot, and gradually, with her help and guidance, I learned more about the science behind the proper nutrition, and with a new and improved exercise program, I began to see the results I was looking for.  I’ve met some incredible people along this journey, and the support from my ABBRx team has been nothing less than stellar.  While we all have different goals, we all share the same passion to be the best versions of ourselves we can be and to continue this journey for the long haul.  My lifelong goal is to be there for my wife, Carrie, and our child on the way.

During winter 2014, I discovered and joined Team ABBRx. I completed my rookie season with success placing first as a Physique competitor in the DFAC Pride and UFE Havoc. Stepping on stage and competing in the sport of bodybuilding has always been a lifelong dream of mine since I was in college. The process is what really drew me in trying to learn how these amazing athletes transform and sculpt their bodies through lifting weights and proper nutrition. Being coached by Kristin Berard and as a strong advocate to be a natural athlete, these two factors have helped me to be successful in achieving physical growth and change, but most importantly make me proud of who I have become and what I represent. As I continue my journey with Team ABBRx, I hope to inspire others to go after their dreams and achieve naturally a healthy and fit lifestyle! Go Team ABBRx!

I was chubby as a child, my weight would fluctuate as I got into my 20s. After the birth of my child in my early 30s. I was eating clean and living a healthy lifestyle, but was unable to get my body to the next level. With the help of Kristin I was able to accomplish my goal and compete my in my first show. She utilizes safe methods and considers the long term affects of dieting on the body. She also provides mental support and encouragement. She truly cares about her clients and helping them achieve their goals.

ABBRx Team Client- Jasmine Humes. “I currently live in Saginaw, but I was born and raised in Grand Rapids and I am a proud Spartan alum… GO GREEN! I started developing healthy habits two years ago with running. After completing a few half marathons I wanted to take it up a notch and decided to commit to stepping on stage as a figure competitor. As a 30 year old wife and mother of two girls I wanted to do this not only for me, but for my family. To lead by example promoting healthier habits and give my girls a positive role model. I never thought that my personal endeavors would touch and inspire so many people in my community and abroad. My dream is to continue to grow in this sport and to provide motivation and inspiration to anyone looking to make a healthy change in their life”

ABBRx Sponsored Athlete Jim Rousseau- “I am from Ann Arbor, Michigan a former baseball player. I attended high school at Ann Arbor Pioneer graduated in 2007 and then attended Spring Arbor University for three years until I moved over to Concordia University Ann Arbor to finish off my undergrad in Business and Marketing, as well as my collegiate career. I currently work in finance and actively pursuing my goals in fitness. I have been in the gym my whole life because of sports, after I finished up with baseball I continued as if things were not any different, only problem with this is I wasn’t working towards an overall goal. After being in the gym daily and lifting with a number of different people, somebody mentioned I should try and compete! I thought about it for a number of weeks and then went for it. People at first looked at me like I was joking until weeks before the show began to grow closer and the results showed as well. After my first competition now under my belt I feel that there is still much to be learned, I am ready and eager to push to grow and show my real potential as an athlete and competitor. After competing at the DFAC Michigan Roar, I was able to get an opportunity to join team ABBRx. As of right now I do not have a final goal, I am currently planning my goals around my next show and what I need to do better than my previous one. My success only depends on how far I am truly willing to push myself.

Team ABBRx Client Jame Bannick-  I’m 30yrs old and have a bachelors degree in science of nursing, I’m currently attending graduate school at SVSU.  I grew up in Bad Axe, Mi, a small quiet town in the thumb. Basketball, volleyball, softball and boxing are some of the sports I’ve participated in over the years. I am extremely competitive, always striving to do my best. I’m focused on becoming a better and stronger version of myself,  willing to push my body to the limits. Prior to joining the ABBRX team I was obsessed with the scale, I focused too much on the number and not how I looked or felt. Since working with Kristin, she has opened up my eyes to what really matters when it comes to being healthy and the scale is simply a number. I still get on the scale, by habit, I’m a work in progress. It been a great experience thus far, being able to share your accomplishments, frustrations and fears with my fellow teammates, we are family and want the best for one another. I look forward to progressing and growing with team ABBRX.

Team ABBRx Client Michele Dubois March 2013 to March 2014. My name is Michele DuBois I live in Afton Michigan. I have a husband and two kids 5 & 2. I was always told how thin I was.. But one day in March 2013 while dress shopping for my sisters wedding I found that none of the dresses were fitting right! I decided it was time to make a lifestyle change and get healthy! Not to get skinny but to get fit! 5 months later I had lost 20 lbs. I needed a new goal, one to push me harder. I decided to start training for a figure competition. I got to about 6 weeks out and found I was stuck.. No matter how much work I had put in I couldnt get the “lean” look I was striving for. That’s when I was told about Kristin and ABBRx. I got signed up right away for a program that would help me reach my goal for the competition in 6 weeks! She taught me that in order to cut out and lean down you must eat!   I had never ate so much to lean down. Well come competition time one year later I was where I wanted to be. Strong and healthy! I end up taking 2nd place at the DFAC Michigan Roar and got my invite to the Worlds figure competition. I am so happy and can’t wait to reach new goals!

Team ABBRx Client Chris Bostwick “Both pictures on the left taken around the same time 2 and a half years ago, the right was taken at the beginning of March 2014. Far from the goal of where I want to be, but I decided to get serious into working out and being healthy a little over a year ago. Went from partying every weekend and some week nights, to now where I go to the gym everyday, eat healthy, and have a drink on special occasions. I was always into working out but I have Kristin to thank for teaching me how to be healthy and about how important your diet can be to gain the results you ultimately want. I’m sure in 10 weeks on the plan that we have in place now and show time comes, I will have even better pictures for my transformation.
